Abstract

|
The size of the focal spot can be measured by several techniques, such as a Pin-hole-image or the image of a Star Pattern. The technique used the Focal Spot Test Tool, is simpler to interpret than the Pin-hole image or Star Pattern image and it can check the effective focal spot size with exposures of only a few mAs. The Focal Spot Test Tool will detect gradual deterioration in the focal spot before clinical images are affected.
